Unfortunately, hard copy submissions will not be considered.
We are looking to award businesses who can demonstrate an innovative approach in delivering an exceptional and outstanding consumer experience. The judging will be based on the application form, your website (viewed on desktop, mobile and tablet), and any other online presence that you might have, including social media. The judges will also look at your online customer reviews and if you are a finalist your business will be mystery shopped.
All eligibility criteria are detailed in the application forms.
The closing date for receipts of applications is at midnight on the 31st July 2020.
We worked closely with VisitEngland to keep the form short and simple to ensure it should not take too long to complete. There are a maximum word counts for each answer.
Yes. Only the organisers and judges will have access to your application form and any supporting documentation. However, you should be aware that if you become a finalist, the judges’ comments about the quality of your business may be used as part of the script at any awards presentation. Your application will also be available to VisitEngland should you become a finalist and opt to go through to the national awards.
If you have been shortlisted, you will be notified sometime between August- September 2020.
All finalists will be sent an invitation to book tickets to the awards ceremony.
If you cannot attend the ceremony, you may nominate someone to attend on your behalf.
Each application will receive some feedback after the first round of judging and finalists will have additional feedback based on the mystery shopping element of the judging.
