The UK is leaving the EU single market and customs union, and the end of the transition period will affect businesses, as well as travel to and from the EU. There are new rules for businesses from 1 January 2021.
At Visit Kent, we will continue to lobby for our tourism industry and ensure that the voices of our businesses are heard by the Government through our position on the Tourism Industry Emergency Response (TIER) Group that meets regularly to discuss both Brexit and the Covid19 Pandemic. We're also working closely with VisitBritain and local partners to ensure that we're all communicating positive and consistent messaging to our visitors, across Europe and the rest of the world.
Our consumer messaging will, of course, align with the guidance being shared by KCC. Regarding more specific advice to visitors we will encourage a “know before you go” approach, urging people to check information before travelling. We will be emphasising that many transport routes across the county will be unaffected and, barring any Covid security measures, Kent will be open to visitors.
Kent Resilience Forum Contingency Plans
The multi-agency Kent Resilience Forum (KRF) is committed to working with the Department for Transport, Kent County Council, Kent Police, Port of Dover, Eurotunnel, local authorities and Highways England to prepare for any traffic disruption on Kent’s roads, following the end of the Brexit Transition Period.

This guidance will help if you, or a member of staff, intend to travel to the EU for work purposes.
You'll need to be aware if you store or use data of visitors from EU.
